General Information

The UK Alexander von Humboldt Association organises an Annual Research Symposium where Humboldtians present their research in an interdisciplinary forum. The symposium is supported by the Humboldt Foundation in Germany.

Eligibility

  • All Humboldtians, and their accompanied partners.
  • Prospective Humboldtians, i.e. researchers eligible for and interested in Humboldt programmes.

Event Outline

  • Our two named lectures: The Mark Warner Lecture and The Brian Ketterer Lecture
  • A selection of broad interest talks. We welcome proposals for talks from Humboldtians via the registration form, especially from those who have recently completed a fellowship; contact us with any questions (symposium@avh.org.uk).
  • Extensive networking time.
  • Representative from German Embassy in attendance.
  • Lunch and closing wine reception.
  • A full programme will be circulated in due course.

Costs

  • There is a £30 contribution to cover costs – generous financial support from the Humboldt Foundation keeps this cost low.
